No NSU athletic program currently competes with the NCAA maximum number of allowable scholarships for their sport. However, with your help, our vision to secure annual athletic scholarship costs solely through private gifts will become a reality. It’s no secret that college tuition has skyrocketed. In fact, over the past sixty years, college tuition has increased by more than 50%. Fuel the Flock scholarship program provides Northeastern State alums, friends and fans the opportunity to directly impact our student-athletes academic achievement. Show your NSU pride by lifting the burden of educational costs for these outstanding RiverHawks and helping them succeed on the field and in the community.
While our number one priority is to fully fund each program’s scholarships to the maximum allowable according to the NCAA, modernizing our athletics facilities is essential to recruiting and retaining the best student-athletes. When other athletic departments have spent lavishly on overdone facilities, our goal is to provide student-athletes with the amenities they need to maximize their potential while remaining fiscally responsible in the process. Therefore, we focus on the necessary projects that best serve all 350 RiverHawk student-athletes.
